The squeaker takes very little pressure to make a sound, so beware that it's a bit like giving a child a trumpet, if your dog becomes excited playing with it you will need to be tolerant. After all, it's for their enjoyment, not yours. My one year old dog spends a lot of time 'play-chewing' and thus far the toy has survived very well.
