   These are well made to my surprise. You can install them on the wall or on a shelf, table or a flat surface. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I connected to my wi fi and boom I had four working cameras. I did not want to purchase the monitoring services for this set. I self monitor these areas looking at each location separately which is what I wanted. The app lays each camera out room by room. The pictures or Live view they provide are High def and you have the ability to move your device to see even further. I like the two way conversation option works well! I sit the cameras in areas to get the best views I could and these little cameras will give you just that! I'd refer YI 4pc Security Home Camera, to anyone wanting to monitor their home room or business, the monitoring service is available which is perfect for someone who has the need. Night vision is crystal clear just as day light with color gives a crisp clear picture, alerts you depending on the level of sensitivity you set for motion, light, image rotation and night vision. Very easy to set up & work. Hint: when scanning the code take off your phone cover of you have a screen cover. I just have screen protector sheet on my phone & it worked great for scanning code. My husbands phone cover is a waterproof one which covers his screen & it would not scan the code unless he took his phone cover off. We have this along w Simplisafe! Love the Yi, we can record on a memory card & get instant notification of movement. You can screen shot, go back and watch recordings, download recordings & zoom in on the cameras. Works good at night too w motion lights.. Works great on our WiFi & we have terrible Century Link WiFi! We have the Simplisafe too since they are on call 24/7 so if for some reason our WiFi is down. We have backup. And Simplisafe has a slight delay in notifying you, where YI is instant notification! We also have one of the indoor cameras sitting outside on a deck rail under a soffit, it does get wet when it rains. It's been outside for 5 months & still works great!

   I purchased the Yi 4 pk. 1080 Indoor security cameras. I was skeptical but am so glad I took the chance. I placed them in various windows facing outside as it's outside I want to observe. They work perfectly during the day and, where the outside area is lit, at night. If the area is not lit, there is a reflection on the glass from the IR light, but they ARE designed to be indoor cameras. They work very well indoors, day and night, as intended. I have observed some sketchy people that have rung my doorbell when I'm not home (I have a camera in the window next to door), along with the neighbor's cat, a family of raccoons, an opossum and numerous squirrels. I had an issue where they stopped alerting me of activity (which I see some others have had, also) and contacted Yi customer service. They promptly replied to my request and worked with me to make sure all my phone settings were correct. Turned out, the problem was with my phone settings, battery saver shutting down the app, NOT with the cameras or their app. I especially love that I can insert my own sd cards to save & view past events and not have to pay for ‘cloud' subscription. I don't know of another security camera that offers this. I couldn't be happier with this purchase! In fact, I ordered another set of 4. If you are still in doubt, look up some reviews and comparisons of the Yi cameras on youtube.
