The straps are not the most comfortable that I have ever felt, but they are about like any school backpack. I don't plan on using this for a lot of hiking. I have really enjoyed the space it provides. There are not a lot of pockets, but it can hold a TON! I recommend this bag.

The compact style of the bag makes the carrying on the back quite comfortable when he walks from the car park to the fishing place about 20 mins without any discomfort. It is the perfect size. Material is durable and sturdy. And best part, it is actually waterproof. I (indirectly) tested it when my bag fell of the dock and landed in the water. Good news, bag floated and all my stuff inside was dry. All was need was to wipe the salt water off the outside. If you work on boats or just spend a lot of time around the water, I highly recommend this bag.
