These balls are big enough that my 48lb girl can't choke and it holds her attention to really work hard to get all the yummyness out of the teeth without breaking the teeth off. It is challenging, but he doesn't get bored with it. I think because the treats are right in front of him to get, he works harder to get them. He will chew on this for a long time. I use small freeze dried beef liver pieces. You can stick several in this toy at a time.
