   I purchased this for my 10 month old grandson who is not quite walking, but falling over a lot, and my daughter was getting very stressed over the amount of times he was bonking his head. He doesn't mind it at all, is perfectly happy to wear it, and makes no effort to remove it. It's a wonderful little hat. The velcro fastening allows it to fit all size heads.    We bought this for our 7-month old son after we learned from co-workers that baby helmets were actually a real thing. It was around this time that baby was suddenly moving around a lot (crawling, rolling, sitting up, pulling himself up) but as he didn't have much control over his body yet, he'd fall and hit his head a lot and therefore cry a lot. We love that the helmet is light and fits our baby's head comfortably. The design is very cute and our baby looks very adorable wearing it. While wearing the helmet one time, he fell on his back and as expected, he didn't cry and he just sat right back up. Our baby is 9 months now and we don't use it as much since he has better control of himself and doesn't hit his head as much but once he starts walking on his own, we will definitely use this again.

   Lightweight and easy to put on the only issue are the side straps they are useless as it is so long it gets in the LO way and draws attention to it so LO would pull or take it off. It would have been better if this strap was Velcro and shorter rather than needing it to be a tie to secure. My LO would notice the straps and pull the entire thing off head. It has work when it stays on but if LO keeps taking it off it will be useless.

   When my daughter was learning to sit unassisted, this worked great in preventing painful head-bangs on the hard floor. We really only used it a month (6-7m old), but this prevented a lot of tears. I intend to use it with a second child. I like that it can be used for a variety of head sizes and the tie prevents the child from pulling it off. It also looks huge on a small infant’s head.. like a mushroom top, and that really warms my heart.

   This is great for protection from those little hits they get from no where. We child proof our corners and he still wears this for added protection. My son has a big head not large but bigger than half the children his age. So having a little more stretch or give with the fit would have been great. Cause this fits him right now. I have it at the end of the velcro. So maybe in 6 months I won’t be able to put this on him anymore. This is a great buy though when your house isn’t carpeted and you worry about the little ones falling.

   I can’t say enough about how much I love this helmet. My grandson started pulling himself up at 6 months. He fell and bumped his head a few times on my hardwood floors . I almost lost my mind. I suggested to my daughter that we get him a helmet and she laughed at the overprotective Nana. I persisted and we got the helmet. OMG - This helmet has saved the baby’s head too many times to count. We can let him explore his surroundings without worrying about him banging his head. He doesn’t mind wearing it and will even put it on himself.

   I don’t often leave reviews but this helmet has saved my sons head from getting so many bumps and bruises. My son started walking at 11 1/2 months and he was hitting himself left and right. Also, idk if it’s just my son but when he gets upset or throws tantrum, he lets his head fall backwards causing him to hit the floor. My son is now 15 months and is a runner. I got this helmet about a month ago and how I wish I would have bought it sooner. My mom even feels more comfortable letting him run around her house when she watches him because his head is protected. I definitely recommended to every parent. At first he didn’t like it but it just required some getting use to and now he doesn’t even try to take it off.

   I liked it. It's working out well so far only a few days in. My son doesn't seem to mind it too much. He gets a hot head naturally so we have to take breaks from wearing it on hotter days. It is possible to put it on too tight so his father can't adjust it anymore. It looks really nicely put together like something from a professional quilter, but I can not attest to how it holds up over time yet. I would buy this again and I would recommend it for all babies while they're starting to crawl and walk. Eventually they will fall and bump their heads and it will tear you to pieces. Even if they get mad from the fall at least they will be far less likely to truly hurt themselves while wearing this. My son is 8 months old and he's big, like in the 90 percentile. It fits him well with plenty of room to grow with him. He seems to have no issues wearing it except on occasion when his head gets too hot. I don't think the helmet makes his head hot, it just stops his head from cooling off.

   By now, this helmet has saved my son's head too many times to count. We originally bought this because my 1 year old had twice fallen on our porcelain tile floor and bumped his head pretty bad. Since wearing this; he's had no more boo-boos on his head. He's even gotten so used to it, that he'll even put it on himself when we ask him.
   
   Having read some of the negative reviews, I was a little concerned about the "choking hazard" some reviewers claimed about the strings that tie underneath. The reality is the strings tie under the chin, not around the neck. Even if it is tied tight or if my son pulls on it, or if the bumper snagged on something (has not happened) it would pull on his chin, not his neck. You can't choke from your chin. That said, kids this age should be supervised at all times anyway.
   
   As far as looks are concerned, I do wish it were more stylish. It's basically a big, bulky crown around his head. It's not that attractive. However, the safety benefit by far outweighs any looks issues. It keeps the five stars for that.

   I love this! It's awesome for floor time especially if you're kinda busy and trying to multi task. But when I purchased this I really thought it was something i would use a lot... And so far I haven't and my son is 10 months old. My family and in laws all say it makes him look "like something's wrong with him" so they take it off anyway.
