We can now tell when Ups drops off a package at our home, we live in the woods and I was worried about the WiFi from the house being a strong enough bandwidth but it seems to handle the ring just fine. Installation was pretty simple, I will say to be careful when putting in the screws that are provided to lock the ring to the nounting bracket, Ring does provide one spare and luckily I did not drop any but they are quite small. The app was a little confusing when adding the device but eventually it all came together and the app has so many nice features, i defently enjoy it.

This version is made for a hardwire situation, with a battery backup. The battery power will evaporate quickly in cold weather. The battery is meant to be a backup if power were to go out.
