I obviously cannot guarantee red light therapy would work for everyone, but it has helped me a lot for pain relief (especially whenever I get ankle sprains and for muscle tension as well as improved circulation. I used to get red light therapy when I visited a doctor practicing traditional oriental medicine. Then, I started using the red light therapy lamp and belt at home, which have saved me lots of time and money !

   Structurally, there is the main rectangular pad, which houses the LED bulb array that supplies the red light (660nm wavelength) and near infrared light (850nm wavelength). Atop the housing is a layer with corresponding cutouts that allows the lighting exposure. This top layer is attached via velcro, and can be removed for washing. This is a genius feature. When using this device, particularly on the back, it could be subject to perspiration and dirt. Now, when it's been used or you notice it needs cleaning, you can simply detach it and wash/clean it.

It wasn't easy to get it strapped across my shoulder with such a nasty knot as what I had, so I propped it on pillows and laid down on it. After 20 minutes of use, it had made a major difference in the tension and discomfort! I was immediately sold on the benefits of red light therapy, and will be recommending it to my mom and to my in-laws. I've even been using it to help alleviate the menstrual cramps that can knock me down and leave me as a hissing ball of angry.

He does 20 minutes on each knee, during/after the treatment it feels warm but not overheated. It has two options to connect it, which come in very handy. unfortunately, it doesn't come with a bag to keep everything from getting lose.
