   None of these lighters have great battery life, they are simply too small, if you smoke a pack a day or more it will not last the day for you. This is not a fault of the lighter or the design, there is only so much space inside for a battery. That being said, this lighter is slightly larger than the other two I have owned, and as a result does have slightly better battery life. As far as their claims of being windproof, um no, not really. It does better in wind than a butane lighter but it is still very much affected by the wind.

   I've now used this lighter long enough to report its excellent battery life. A full charge lasted for 2 & 3/4 packs of cigarettes! Way longer than any other arc lighter I've used. In addition, it still remained active for some time when down to 1 LED remaining, again unmatched by any other arc I've used. This lighter is tops! And with its soft-touch action, is a real pleasure to use. Buy it!

   I highly recommend this lighter! I first bought this one and a cheapo backup. This one spoiled me so I gave the cheapo to a friend and got the rainbow color as a backup instead. You really do get what you pay for and these are reasonably priced. It charges very quickly but I wish the charge lasted longer. Looks sharp. Heavier than I expected but it's just a matter of adjustment. Definitely giftable!

   this lighter is just perfect, it's battery lasted me a week or two. and it charges fairly quickly. it never failed me for smoking, I was able to easily lit candles and twigs with this lighter. it gets dirty pretty often but can be easily cleaned with the brush that came with it. the cap never broke or failed when I opened it, I was always afraid they'll do with constant use. and finally it really looks good, and is cool when you u light them.

   The lighter is very well built and I certainly believe it will outlive the battery inside quite easily. It fits in the hand nicely and is very easy to use with one hand. The lighter will charge from nearly dead to full charge in about 30 minutes on a high power USB port. Overall I give this lighter an excellent rating and would certainly buy it again.    I got these for my parents for Christmas. My mom didn't know to touch her cigarette to the arc so she thought it was broken and tried touching the arc with her finger to see if it was hot. I caught her just as she was essentially tazing herself with her lighter. Lesson learned for both of us. For me, next time do a tutorial on how to use an arc lighter before giving it to a beginner. For her, don't touch the light! it works great though and the charge lasts long. It also gave a good laugh so I'd say a win/win.

   I really like this elegant little lighter! Having arthritis, I need a lighter that's not too heavy. This one is lighter weight than my previous arc lighters but still feels substantial and is a nice small size but not too small. It operates smoothly, button is easy to push and I really like the angled lighting surface. It arrived when expected with no damage, pre-charged and packaged nicely for gifting. Haven't had long enough to speak on battery life yet. My favorite of several arc lighters I've tried and would purchase again.

But it recharges quickly which shows it is the small battery size that is the problem. So one must decide what suits them most, a larger heavier size or this light compact size.
