This certainly fits the bill. I have only charged it once and used several nights, it's still as bright. It is so easy to charge up, no worry about finding fresh batteries! You can set it how bright you like it to be, very versatile. Also it has a handle so you can take it with you, great if there's a power cut!

   This is a fabulous night light. My daughter has been using it on its dimmest setting as a nightlight. She has had it all night on every night for 19 days so far and it's still not needing a charge!! It's just what we wanted. On its dimmest setting it's bright enough to be a comforting light and to see when needing to get out of bed. It then will get bright enough to read by if needed! We are buying another one for my other daughter too. They will be excellent to take away in the tent too.
