My puppy is a terrier breed and as such she can be a little wary of certain toys etc. She didn't like the dispensers that wobble because they would come back at her. I was using a ball or a snuffle mat but she would finish quickly so I wanted a dispenser with a little more difficulty but nothing crazy. This one is perfect. She picked up on how to work this dispenser within 2 meals! It takes her a while to work the pieces out and I have to refill it about 3 times per meal since it's a small container, but that keeps her occupied and she loves it. She picks it up when it gets to the wall or under the tables and then takes it back to the open area and rolls it back and fourth across the floor. My only wish is that it came in different sizes to hold just a bit more food.
