   We actually have the older and newer model, the blue is the new version. The biggest difference to us are the little rubber nubs on the back that “locks” the pillow to the air pad so no waking up in the middle of the night looking your pillow. Both pillows hold the air well.I almost forgot the easy of inflation, there is a airlock on the intake valve that prevents your hard earned breath to stay in the pillow.We like the covers that are on the pillow but usually cover with a tee shirt on multi day hikes.

   I am very impressed with this item so far. Materials are soft to the touch and it is very comfortable, especially for myself as I sleep on my side, it forms to your face nicely. The only feedback I would have is I wish it would be a little larger. However, considering that it's intended primarily for hiking, the size does make sense.
