   Finally found one of these screens that actually fits my 48" door. The others are always too narrow and get stretched so tight they don't close properly. This one is about 50" wide so it has enough room to stick it to the doorframe. Adhesive is strong and can stick to uneven areas as you can see in the photo. It has a little clasp you can engage to keep it from blowing open in the wind.Best feature, by far, is that it actually closes after use. See the video of my dog coming through it! Awesome. Immediately bought another one for my other door.

   UPDATE: After the first one I purchased got torn, I have since then tried to re purchase on two different occasions... the first time it fit absolutely perfectly 48x80, I Reordered the same exact one and the second one was about and inch and a half too long and too wide. I thought maybe it was defective so I returned and ordered another one but that didn't make a difference as it came too long and too wide again :(Works great and so easy to install! I actually attached the supplied Velcro to the door jam first and then put the mesh on, it's a lot simpler to handle! (Also don't ignore the little tip that says to put the center of the top mesh slightly higher than the two sides, otherwise it won't meet in the middle at the bottom...easy fix though!)

   During the height of the pandemic I decided to DIY and enclosed our back porch since we were spending so much time outside. My only hitch was enclosing the doorway which was an odd size & I couldn't get a door to fit. This product did the job wonderfully. It was just the size I needed & easy to install with the velcro tape & the tacks (which survived heavy rain & hail storms). It keeps the bugs at bay but also allows our dogs to come &go.

   I have had many different styles of these kinds of screens and have been underwhelmed by how quickly they deteriorate. This is the first time I have been able to find one that closes easily, stays closed in wind, and doesn't fray or get torn with use. The velcro tab for keeping it closed can also work as a handle to grab the screen to open it. I am totally impressed! I hate items that become trash in one season...and so far this screen is incredible.

   A simple, effective and very economic solution. However, not easy to install. It requires a frame matching the shield's dimensions. Sometimes, there is no such frame and you would go to Home Depot, to buy a piece of wood in order to build the needed frame. Only then the shield itself can be installed. Yet, it would not guarantee a full protection from the insects unless you somehow cover the side aperture between the shielded frame and the balcony window.

   We have an oversized sliding backdoor. Screen door for it is extremely expensive. This has been a great substitute. Keeps flyers out, but crawlers can get in if they want too. Although part of that may be in partly due to installing it slightly crooked. We didnt exactly clean the surface before putting the adhesive strip down & it has stayed up wonderfully. The back patio is covered so it doesnt get hit by too much weather. The kids use it easily & no one has managed to rip the screen itself.

   I just received these after ordering a couple days ago. I've already installed them and the product is great. I was a bit worried about the fit because I could not find my exact measurements online for my oversized sliding glass door. But I followed the instructions here and purchased based on the size of the door - not the door frame, and they fit the outside frame perfectly. Installation was very easy with the Velcro attachment and the built in pull-tape adhesive. It would really be hard to mess it up.

And I'm so glad I purchased as it's exactly what I needed to keep the bugs out of my house! It was super easy to install, just take a second to read the instructions before jumping in. The magnets are really strong and keep the screen closed automatically. It took my dog a few days to figure it out, but now she goes in and out all day long and there's no flies inside.
