It did a great job on this pallet that I needed to dispose of. As some have mentioned it can get stuck if you drill into the center of a solid piece of wood. It's best to work inward from the edges. If you reverse a stuck bit it will just unscrew the bit from the splitter. To get unstuck, it's best just to move the drill sideways. I doubt it will work on very wet wood, it needs to be dry.

Like small, but weighs decently. Equipment: drill and three different shank. The tails are made of alloy, which makes them light in weight. That's just the delivery service slightly pumped up. In the seller's promised term (7 days) did not fit, but these are trifles. The seller sent the goods only for 5 day after placing the order. Description corresponds to all 100%

Much like I used position for using a hatchet I first tried it by drilling down the center of a log to try and split it. That doesn't work. I was a touch annoyed thinking this doesn't work. Then I went it from the side. It split everything perfectly. The trick is don't use it with massive logs. It won't really work. Use with smaller diameter logs and it works a treat. Took me five minutes to make kindling for the week. Very pleased.

Almost seemed too good to be true when I came across this for kindling. A real mix of views almost put me off but eventually decided for the price it was worth a gamble.
My use was geared towards turning scrap wood into kindling as opposed to slitting logs. I had a number of planks of woods which I couldn’t kindle with an axe due to knots on the wood near the ends. This device made short and easy work turning it all into kindling.
It takes some getting used to as you gauge it’s capability (and learn to either have a hold of the wood or your foot on it to avoid creating a propeller!)
I use it with a cordless drill which will obviously limit it further than a more powerful corded one. You can usually tell pretty quickly if the device is going to have the desired effect and split the wood or whether it’s going to just drill into the wood and become stuck. Drilling 1-2cm from the side of the wood worked 95% of the time. Slightly annoying is that when you put the drill in reserve it’s simple loosens the head from the adapter rather than unscrewing out the wood so if you do over estimate and it gets stuck the in wood you’ll need to find a way of getting it back.
If you are realistic in what you expect from this item then it will work well for you. If you are hoping it’ll will conquer big logs or solid wood which would normally take several swings of an axe then you’ll most likely be disappointed.

after splitting a few logs with it I was pretty impressed, it works pretty damn good. The logs I got delivered were just a bit too big to burn well in my fireplace, so I take a load in and split them with the drill and life is so much easier. It even works really well to make kindling.

Splits wood quickly.
I found out by trial and error that it’s best to start at the outside of the piece of wood you are splitting and separate small pieces of wood at a time (10-30mm wife). I tried drilling through the middle of the wood but the drill bit just got stuck so start on the edge and work inwards.

Does what it says, great because I can't use an axe in a top floor apartment, even on the balcony, too much give on the floor. This is simple and easy to use, split some pretty thick logs with ease using a cordless drill.

I have used it to break down “oversized” wood (with some ease) to fit on my wood burner.
Like any cutting tool, the drier the wood the better, but works each time.
I may now have to get a battery drill to save the trailing cables (please Santa)!!

Bought this for my boss as a Christmas gift. Splits reasonable sized logs nicely. I’d say it’s about perfect for chopping up pallets into kindling but for anything bigger get yourself an axe.
