   I am an adult with a small head and a small body to match. I was worried about an adult helmet fitting me, and even if it did, I didn't want to look like a kid, wearing her mom's huge, oversized bike helmet. This helmet fit (it is adjustable), and is in proportion to the rest of me, as well. As far as taking a hit, I don't know, as I've managed not to wreck, since I've been wearing it.

Easy rotary/click adjustable head band. Chin retaining straps are a bit tedious to adjust, but you only need to do that once. No need to spend the big bucks on a bike helmet unless you want to impress someone with the price tag.

   Awesome helmet that saved my daughter!! She was riding down the hill when she hit a stick in the road and went head first over the handle bars right onto her head. Luckily she is ok, but the ER doctor said that the helmet is what kept her from being severely damaged. This helmet is very high quality, easy to adjust and very protective. It also looks super cool. We got the youth purple/white.

   I've done several hundred miles of riding using this Schwinn Thrasher helmet so far (about 2.5 years worth), and yet have absolutely zero complaints to report. It seems to be well made, and quite a bit better looking than some comparably priced, super-shiny and really ugly looking ones I've seen for sale. I especially like the ratcheting dial-adjuster; much preferable to strap-type adjusters.

I like the ventilation on the helmet to prevent overheating. So glad I made this purchase. U can rarely go wrong purchasing Schwinn anyway. My bike is a Schwinn & I've had it for many years.    I like this helmet. It's light and comfortable, fits well on my medium "long oval" head. It doesn't rattle around on my head like some others I've worn. The adjuster works well and is easy to use with a good size wheel/handle. Looks good, has good coverage, good venting. Seems less likely that the plastic visor will come partly loose and start flopping all over like several I've had in the past. I like it so far.

(Photo shows a white dot of some sort in the middle of the LED, that is just a photography anomaly, it can be set to solid red, flashing red, or off. No white dot.)

   I was skeptical about the helmet in the event of an accident and I found out first hand that the helmet holds up in a bike accident. My head, in the helmet, actually bounced off the sidewalk and there's not a scratch on the helmet and after a CT scan, no problems and no concussion. Without the helmet, I may not even have survived. Totally recommend. It's pretty too. I have a tiny head (size 6 1/4) and it fits very well. Adjustable.

   I bought this to replace a 15-year-old Bell helmet that had served me well. You don't need to spend $$$ on a bike helmet as long as it has the proper safety certifications. This Schwinn helmet is simple, comfortable, attractive, and has a detachable visor and a safety light on the back. I just returned from a week of cycling during which I wore it every day 3-6 hours a day. I didn't even notice I was wearing it. What else does one need?

I'm right here, weighing down your skull!" type of presence.
