   ili is an AWESOME translator! I bought one for my trip to Peru last week because I can only speak and understand very limited Spanish, and I wanted to use a translation tool that was faster and more convenient than Google Translate. Ili was so easy to use to ask for directions to nearby restaurants and shops, and also to direct taxi drivers to take me to destinations further away from my hotel. I also used ili to haggle with local vendors for souvenirs! Ili was able to translate my phrases VERY quickly--it felt like I was traveling with a mini local Peruvian translator. Overall, ili made my solo trip to Peru incredibly convenient. I am usually hesitant to take solo trips to countries where I can barely speak and understand the language, but ili gives me the confidence to take more trips to Spanish speaking countries. I'm also planning on going to Japan next year, and will definitely bring ili along. Would highly recommend! :)

   I bought ili because I have plans for traveling to South America this winter and China next year. First of all, you should know it is a one-way translator( translating from English to Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish.) I am so surprised that this product is smaller than I expected and pretty light. I tried to use Chinese and Spanish translations by ili to my friends who are Chinese native speakers and they said this translation works well as locals can undersrtand easily! It will be useful if you do not know a country language as well. I would recommend you to get one if you are planning to travel.

Using the device is quite easy as well. The unit came with a nice book providing tips when traveling to Japan and various phrases to focus.

   It's great for one way translation but I'm kind of upset they no longer sell the Spanish to English version anymore. Everyone I try and use mine with keeps trying to reply in my device but it only translates English to Spanish. There is another version I bought that translates English into Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish but I have the same problem. They all want to talk to me to reply and none of them can.

   Bought it for a family trip to Japan this summer and it worked very well! It was so easy to use even my grandma had fun using it to order food at restaurants. It was handy and it translates super quickly. I think the locals also love it and were amazed when we used it with them.We played this game where my husband would use his phone to translate besides me and I always beat him! Bringing the translator with us on the trip definitely made things easier. I'd say it's a great product!

Great for people who travel for work, like myself, or those that are vacationing in a Spanish, Chinese, or Japanese speaking country.This little translator helped me get from point a-b in South America and navigate Tokyo's INSANE metro system with ease!
