I showed the kids that they don't cut your hands (although we discussed knife safety and practiced it) so they can comfortably cut fruit, bread, cheese, and more. Small knife size for small hands. Easy to clean. However, older children have sharp knives. The prices are great- and the kids can take the knife home at the end of class.

   We buy these so we can start teaching kids how to use knives safely and help us in the kitchen. So far, he's helped cut pasta, apples, and cantaloupe and these knives come in very handy. The tips are still pointed, so they should only be used under adult supervision, but I'm very happy with this purchase! I hope my son learns to respect sharps but also doesn't mind using them safely in the kitchen.
