   So far this wire twister has performed very well, Im laying 2000' or rebar which needs more than 1000 ties and i managed to do the job quickly efficiently and saved about 4 hours and some sore fingers. One word of caution, its very easy to over tighten the ties with this twister, i broke around 12 before being able to judge how had to pull. I have another 1000 ties to do today and actually look forward to using the twitter again

   And not just pliers. I have the 'hand crank tyer' but never could quite got the wrist motion right. This works fabulous. Yes, it takez learning to become efficient and yes you'll snap a bunch of ties. But had some massive (for a room addition) footings to rebar and 1000 ties later , :-)

   Twenty years ago I bought one of these in Ireland when they were made in Germany and at last I have found a source from the US as the hook on the original wore away long ago and I have been forced to use Draper rubbish. Either way they are still smooth in operation and the mechanism will hopefully last as well as the original which is still as good as new.

   900 ties later it's still tieing like a dream. 10x better then a traditional tie tool, although I do suggest adding some white lithium grease to the tool to help it stay smooth. Also do not try to go for that extra pull, its hard to tell when ties are tight but it will easily snap them off. Overall it is about twice as fast as traditional tie tools and I highly recommend it.

SO I LOOKED FOR A BETTER MORE SECURE WAY TO CLOSE THE BAGS AND SAW THAT THIS PRODUCT HAD BEEN USED ON BAGS OF SAND FROM THE SUPPLY YARD SO DECIDED TO GIVE THEM A TRY.    We are not professional iron workers, but have a mid sized concrete project (2,000lbs of rebar) and this tool was so worth the money we purchased another. It was so easy to use that everyone helping wanted to use these tools and left me with the old wooden handle style. After using the old style for a few hours I got in a groove, but everyone got in a groove immediately with these. The only trick is to learn when you will twist the end off by continuing to pull (everyone did this a few times). One nice feature is that because they are so long, you can get down into deep pockets to tie up rebar without having to reach as far with your tool hand.

   I had a friend that introduced me to this product, a few years. I had no need for it at the time, but it was firmly lodged into the back of my mind....What A Cool Tool! Fast forward to present day and the Cool Tool-Pull Tie Wire Twister was needed. I needed to put up 250' of slat wood fencing and this was/is the perfect tool to use. Just like most of the other reviewers, I broke a few wire ties by over tightening. But once you get the hang of it, you will wonder why you didn't get one sooner! It made the job much faster and easier to accomplish. I have also used it to secure pipe panels to t-posts and am confident there will be other applications. The handle is contoured to fit comfortably in my hand (I'm a woman). It feels very sturdy and operates smoothly. If you have any need to use wire ties to secure something, you will not be disappointed in this tool. Again, it is a Cool Tool!
