We have not had (so far) green water algae, so I don't know how it controls that. We have about a 3000 gallon water feature, with lots of water plants & gold fish in North Idaho.

Before this product I had tried nearly every product on the market to fix my cloudy nasty brown/green water.    I use the Algae-Fix for my Koi pond to keep the water clean & clear. I have used this brand for years. I have a lot of muck, debris from trees, and I use it because it is safe for my fish. It clears up the murky water, and I can see the bottom of my pond, about 3 to 4 feet deep. I buy multiple containers from Amazon because its cheaper than my local pond store. I will buy again.

Algaefix has done the job of clearing up the early summer mess and has continued to keep the water clear for the past month including the "bloom" period. Caution tho: follow directions carefully as this product can be harmful to your fish if you over-treat. Fantastic product.

We have two small ponds. One is 12 ft x 6 ft and the other is 6 ft x 3 ft and this bottle will last us 20 years!

It was overgrown with stringy hair algae from the cold season and the pump was not running at full capacity. I added 10 oz. of the solution to the water and the next morning the water was crystal clear; I could see the bottom of the pond again. I'll definitely use this product again next season.

   There are a lot of horror stories out there about the use of this product. I used it twice on a large goldfish and koi pond, with no ill effects. I was a bit worried about using it because I had fish fry in the pond, some only a couple of days old. I followed the directions exactly and everything survived the treatment, except the algae, pond water is crystal clear. I, and my fish, had no problems with this product.
