   I ordered a size smaller do to my cat is scaping by pulling out. Eventually we got to a size medium and it works great. I tried several other brands and they did not work as well as this one. is as described my cat is still a little small for the small size I ordered but he's still only nine months old so he's going to grow into it. I've taken him out a couple times he has not gotten out of it. But he's trying to get out a few times by himself when I let the dog out so I wanted to make sure he's familiar with his surroundings. I hope someday maybe he'll go for a walk with me! UPDATED my cat learns how to get out of it. So beware it's not cat proof Last update just make sure you order the right size if it doesn't fit get a size smaller.

   I really like this harness. It took a little bit of adjustment to make it escape proof but now that I mastered it, Princess Fluffybutt is now able to safely hang out on the deck with me only checking intermittently. She HATED it at first and stood frozen for some time but now it is second nature to her and just part of the routine. The harness is well made and the fabric is sturdy yet light. It does not rub anywhere even when tightened and I think that the comfort of it is what made it work for her ok. I appreciate that I can feel confident that she cannot get out of this harness as we have coyotes and eagles around and pets that are loose disappear. I recommend this harness as it is very secure and keeps her safe so she can still enjoy being outside.

   We got this for an orphan kitten, 3 weeks old, who was thrust upon us, turning out household upside down, since we had to move so much to protect him and the 'stuff'. I wanted to start him very young so he'd get used to it and found i could hold the leash to allow it to dangle in front of him, which of course, he chased... leading him to learn to walk with a leash. He's outgrown it now, and I'll be ordering a large size, but I found this one lasted longer than expected, because the neck opening was still comfortable even as the body vest became too small. Since it's closed with velcro, I just added another piece of velcro I had on hand and it expanded as he did. His name is Pita, by the way... (P.I.T.A.) which explains why we had to have this set. We now use it to confine him to the sofa while we eat dinner.

   I have ordered my share of harnesses over the years but this one is perfect. It's the second of this brand that I have had for my growing toy poodle puppy. We started with extra small when she was about 3.5 pounds and just went to small now that she is 5.6lbs (girth is appx 12-13 inches). Basically I think the sizing given is true. The velcro tab is large enough to allow for about 1.5 inches of girth growth and the added cross straps that culminate in the single snap are adjustable. The harness is like a jacket and covers a lot of her upper body, adding a sense of security (for her and me!), unlike Puppia that offers less coverage (sort of X configuration) and my older dog slid out of it. Snaps are snug and click tightly - very secure. Material is not as heavily padded or lined as some harnesses we have had that have allowed for only winter use here in Florida. We can use this one year round. Reflective tabs are a nice touch. There are two rings that come together when snapped that comprise the leash hook. I was initially concerned that two hooks would be too much for such a small dog, but they have not proved an issue and in fact add again to security. Highly recommend this brand! Yes, it is escape proof if you have a good fit.

   Meowmy says she really thinks these harnesses are great! We think they're okay, but we're still getting used to them. She only makes us wear them a couple hours at a time because our balance is kinda messed up and we fall over easily when we wear them - I mean, we JUST got used to wearing a collar, lady! We also look really funny when we pick up our legs like prancing horses to try to get our legs out of the holes - no dice. A couple days ago, Meowmy thought we must be ready for our first big adventure outside! I did the best; my brother felt nervous and got dragged a few feet. BUT, we thought it was really cool. And since we live in a place with a lot of dogs and wildlife, Meowmy and Daddy don't think it's good for us to just hang out in the yard with them until we're older. Oh! We're 4 month old Tonkinese, and we weigh about 5 lbs each. Meowmy didn't measure us - she just got an XS for us knowing that we're going to grow out of it pretty fast. We liked that it didn't pull on our necks or our joints when we were on the leads outside - even when that big dog from a couple houses away startled us! We DON'T like that once that thing is on, it is ON. I mean, my brother and I tried to take it off each other, but we couldn't bite through it, and that velcro stuff is like glue. Anyhow, if it means we get to explore outside, I guess we'll put up with it, and we'll probably even like it someday :)

   Super pleased with fit, quality, and comfort. I was in the market for a walking vest/harness for my 10 lb. Feline Fur-Lady Fiona. I had become exhausted with the mass hysteria cat carrier trauma every time one of my crew was headed to the vet, so we decided to try our paw with a walking vest. It was crucial that things went purr-fectly from the beginning lest my dreams of casually strolling into the vet with a fashionable, composed companion be forever destroyed. Five-year-old Fiona has never used a walking vest or harness, so I did a ton of research both on and off of Amazon, finally decided on this harness. I watched a couple of Jackson Galaxy videos on YouTube and read through the Amazon reviews to make sure our introduction to the harness was a successful one. Definitely not a process to be rushed, we began just hanging out with the vest, gradually the treat-toting vest would move closer. After a couple of days I found Fiona & the vest snuggling on the couch. I was so proud on the big day when Fiona finally obliged, willingly stepping into her outerwear... and equally devastated when I found her “wearing” the harness around her hind end like Harry Houdini escaping a strait jacket. We had a heart-to-heart, and as I scoured the reviews for tips, I showed Fiona pictures of Karen’s orange-vest clad feline road crew. We decided if Karen and her 6 pretty kitties could make it across country, we’d stay strong. We embraced the trial & error process of working through various adjustments to both the buckles & velcro to find the sweet spot - one where Fiona was comfy-in-pink and I was confident she was secure, with her escapism days behind her. Overall, our learning curve lasted just a few days, and our first trip out of the house was a raging success! My best advice for ultimate success is patience, adjustments, resolve, and plenty of Jackson Galaxy... after all, cats and foreign apparatus don’t have a natural affinity for each other but the process is far from insurmountable with teamwork and a comfy, quality harness like this one.
